A Second Chance offers an eight month program aimed at transforming a homeless person into a self sufficient person armed with the knowledge and training to lead a blessed and successful life.
At the beginning of the program, new clothes and other services/necessities will be provided to prepare the participant for work. At the onset of the program the participant will be enrolled in a work position and will be required to work 40 hours per week. A Second Chance will train the participants on how to become exceptional employees while working with them to ensure they have transportation to and from work.
Throughout the program, the team at A Second Chance will work to equip the participant with the necessary skills required to continue to lead a successful life. Participants will learn valuable information on living a successful life. Participants will also be given the opportunity to explore continued education, resume creation, and other skills development.
The participant will maintain a budget throughout the program that will grow in responsbility. By the end of the program, the participant will have a budget comparible to the one they will face outside of the program. Upon graduation, the participant will be enrolled in an aftercare group. This group will continue to build upon good financial practices/budgets as well as provide mentors to help them stay on track.
